English 12 Fall 2021 Bosserman Autobiographical Essay (part of the “Who Am I?” theme for Bryant Quarter 1) Points: 100 Due date: Friday, September 17 An autobiographical essay is an essay written in the first person (i.e., you write with “I”) that recalls some important development in your life. It could be a memory, a reflection on your relationship with a certain person (friend, family member, etc.), or a description of a significant event in your life (e.g., moving, family challenges of any kind, a significant journey, etc.). Your essay should be long enough to really capture the episode you’re writing about. It should be double-spaced and should probably be about 2 pages once it’s done. The specific flow and format of your essay are up to you to determine. Write in the way that feels natural and comfortable for you. Remember to use formal language, though (no slang that Ms. Bosserman wouldn’t understand 😉, no bad words, no inappropriate descriptions). Start your writing process below by sketching out your idea for your essay. I want to write about __________________________________________________________.
