Student Council is made up of two representatives from each 4 and 5 gra
classroom. The Student Council will meet once or twice a month to coordin
school and community projects.
In order to be a member of the Student Council, a student must:

Step 1: Application
Each 4 th or 5 th grade student interested in being on the Student Council mu
fill out the application form on the back of this letter that will be used to
determine eligibility. Once the homeroom teacher has determined the stud,
is eligible, he/she may run for representative of that classroom. Applicatior
must be submitted to homeroom teachers by Tuesday, September 28, 2021
Step 2: Classroom Election
Once students are approved to be elected, he/she will give a brief (1-2 minu
speech to his/her classmates as to why he/she would be a good representa
for the class. (The questions on the application can help you determine wh
to say.) The speeches and the election will be held the same day, Septembe
30, 2021. The class will vote on one representative for their homeroom.
Step 3: Election Results
Student ballots will be returned to Mrs. McCollister for election tallies. Res,
will be announced by Mrs. Molitor during the end of day announcemen ts or
October 1, 2021.
