Practical Context And Rationale for The Proposal RESEARCH PROBLEM: Considering in todays era, the education systems play a huge role worldwide. To have extraordinary education systems, requires exceptional educational staff. There are several reasons to why an educator would leave a specific organisation. As far as personal reasons and retirement factors could be an excuse, one of the main reasons according to (Powell 2016) are unproductive school administrations. Many schools bare the loss of highly professional educators by failing to provide administrative support (Deruy 2016). Such highly educated and well experienced educators when exit an organisation not only the particular organisation bares a loss of human asset but this in return also affects ad limits the students academic skills. Practical Context And Rationale for The Proposal The organisation I am going to choose is Beaconhouse, which is a well reputed school in Pakistan. The purpose of my study is to analyse and evaluate what traits have been identified by the leaders and its impact on the educators. The problem that I’m willing to investigate is to how can Beaconhouse eradicate or lower the educator turn over rate in their organisation with context to the leadership styles adopted. Research Questions Aims and Objectives QUESTIONS: Critically discuss how different leadership styles can b reframed by Beaconhouse administrators which will influence the educators job performance and employee satisfaction as well as loyalty? Does Beaconhouse in order to overcome the issue discussed need a leader or a manager in terms of organisational growth. If yes, what are the reasons? Any additional factors identified by the educators that affect morale? AIM: To critically examine to what extent is Beaconhouse capable in bringing out the required change in its education centres? Research Questions Aims and Objectives Objectives: To examine the traits of different leaders that contribute to high employee morale. To recognise the efforts and contributions of Beaconhouse’s administrative department in order to retain and attract best educators through employee satisfaction. To acquire educator recommendation in order to overcome the problem. Academic Context Taking into account our topic and purpose of research, following theoretical ideas will aid in giving us an insight of the problem and its solution: The one most suitable could be McGregor’s theory. He tells us that there are 2 kinds of employees, he further classified them into Theory-X and Theory-Y. Theory-X consisting of employees who are only induvial achievement oriented, are lazy, run away from responsibilities, have no ambitions and work for sustainable income. Whereas Theory-Y consists of the total opposite employees: very responsible, love to work and are selfmotivated and look forward to challenges. These classifications of employees should be understood, led and challenged according to their traits in order to keep them motivated. The relationship between an employee and the leader plays a huge role in the job performance and morale of the educators. Recognising and studying the educators ability and traits, a leader can easily guide and motivate them. Reason of choosing the value based leadership model is that it will aid in critically examining identifying the nature and working habits which in return will guide that under what level does Beaconhouse’s leaders fall, what are the positive and negative impacts of that level, what possible changes are needed to be made and how can these leaders improvise their styles according to the situation in the end to achieve the main purpose of this research which is, how effective leadership style will result in highly motivated and satisfied educators. Proposals For Primary Research Method The primary research methods I would like to use are: Send questionnaires to Beaconhouse administrators and educators (Easy and quick) Conduct interviews of the educators (For extensive research) Personal observations (In order to prepare and conduct better interviews and questionnaires) The research methods can be carried out with ease I believe, as some relatives have been employed in the chosen school, which will allow me easy access to the staff. Proposals For Primary Research Method My research work is do-able as I mentioned I have access to the organisations staff, apart from that this research work will benefit Beaconhouse in terms of retaining their most valuable educators through delivering explicit leadership by finding out gaps with the help of this research, as well as building an image of being an organisation that prioritises employee welfare, this can in return enable Beaconhouse to have an competitive edge and grow in Pakistan's education sector.
