Rational numbers : The number that can be expressed in the form
where p and q are integers and q ≠ 0
Eg:

 All natural numbers, whole numbers, integers and fractions are
rational numbers.
 A rational number is said to be positive if its numerator and
denominator are of same sign. Eg

 A rational number is said to be negative if its numerator and
denominator are of different sign. Eg

 The number zero is neither positive nor negative.
 A rational number is said to be in standard form if its denominator
is positive integer and the numerator and denominator have no
common factor other than 1. Eg

obtained either by dividing or multiplying the numerator and
