1. Lopressor (metoprolol)
Purpose: it can treat high blood pressure, chest pain, and heart failure
Side effects: diarrhea, dizziness, tiredness
Order details: hold if SBP<90 or HR<50
2. Levothyroxine sodium (Synthroid)
Purpose: it can treat hypothyroidism. It can also treat an enlarged thyroid gland and thyroid
cancer.
Side effects: appetite or weight changes, hair loss, sweating, sensitivity to heat, nervousness
3. Acetaminophen (Tylenol)
Purpose: it can treat minor aches and pains, and reduces fever
Side effects: bloody or black tarry stools, vomiting, nausea
4. Percocet
Purpose: it can treat moderate to moderately sever pain.
Side effects: headache, mild constipation, vomiting, and nausea
Order details: pain score of 3-5/10
5. Coumadin
Purpose: it can treat and prevent blood clots
Side effects: dizziness, bruising, weakness
6. Docusate sodium (Colace)
Purpose: medication is used to treat constipation
Side effects: stomach pain, cramping
7. Oxycodone
Purpose: can treat moderate to severe pain
Side effects: fainting, dizziness, stomach pain
Order details: pain 4-6
8. Glucophage (metformin)
Purpose: can treat type 2 diabetes
Side effects: diarrhea, gas, metallic taste in mouth
9. Furosemide (Lasix)
Purpose: it can treat fluid retention (edema) and swelling caused by congestive heart failure,
liver disease, and kidney disease.
Side effects: loss of appetite, and stomach cramps
10. Potassium chloride
Purpose: potassium chloride is used to prevent or to treat low blood levels of potassium
(hypokalemia)
Side effects: nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, gas or stomach pain
11. Maalox plus (aluminum hydroxide) milk of magnesia
Purpose: treats symptoms of too much stomach acids such as stomach upsets, heartburn, and
acid indigestion. Used to also relieve symptoms of extra gas such as belching, bloating, and
feelings of pressure or discomfort in the stomach.
Side effects: constipation, diarrhea, headache.
Order details: for indigestion
12. Colace (docusate)
Purpose: stool softener
Side effects: bitter taste, bloating, cramping, diarrhea

1. Diltiazem hydrochloride
Purpose: it can treat high blood pressure, and chest pain (angina)
Side effects: nausea, stomach pain, loss of appetite
Order details: hold for SBP< 100, HR<50
2. Atorvastatin (Lipitor)
Purpose: it can be used to treat high cholesterol, and triglycerides levels which can reduce
risks of heart attack stroke, and blood vessel problems.
Side effects: fever, dark urine, increased thirst, loss of appetite
3. Acetaminophen
Purpose: treats minor aches and pains, and reduces fever
Side effects: bruising, stomach pain
Order details: every four hours PRN for temperature >101
4. Bupropion hydrochloride (Wellbutrin)
Purpose: It can treat depression and help people quit smoking. It can also prevent depression
caused by seasonal effective disorder (SAD)
Side effects: dry mouth, headache, dizziness
5. Aldactone
Purpose: can treat high blood pressure. It can also treat fluid retention (edema) and high
levels of hormone aldosterone.
Side effects: breast swelling, enlargement, pain, or tenderness

Purpose: treats minor aches and pains, and reduces fever

2. Prenatal vitamin
Purpose: to prevent neural tube defects, iron supports the baby’s growth and development
Side effects: constipation due to the iron
3. Ferrous sulfate
Purpose: provides the iron needed by the body to produce red blood cells. It used to treat or
prevent iron-deficiency anemia.
Side effects: upset stomach, constipation, temporary staining of teeth
4. Folic acid
Purpose: it can treat anima. Given to pregnant women or women who plan to get pregnant
Side effects: bitter taste in the mouth, trouble sleeping, gas, bloating
5. Lansoprazole
Purpose: it can treat stomach ulcers, a damaged esophagus, GERD, and high levels of
stomach acid.
Side effects: dizziness, stomach cramps, diarrhea
6. Prozac
Purpose: it can treat depression, OCD, bulimia nervous, panic disorder
Side effects: dry mouth, diarrhea, weight gain or weight loss
7. Clonazepam
Purpose: it can treat seizures, panic disorders, and anxiety
Side effects: cough, runny or stuffy nose, or sore throat, increased salvia
8. Azithromycin
Purpose: treats infections, including pink eye (bacterial conjunctivitis)
Side effects: stomach pain, vomiting, nausea, diarrhea

Side effects: weakness, restless, flushing in the face or feeling warm, muscle or joint pain.
6. Clopidogrel
Purpose: blood thinner, can prevent stroke, heart attack, and other problems
Side effects: stomach pain, tiredness, bruising

24 hours.
