Independent variables 1. Sunshine intensity 2. Water intake 3. Nutrients availability Dependent variables 1. Gravity Assumption’s 1. The sun intensity remains the same in space. If incorrect the crops are then likely to die. This because on earth crops are protected from ultraviolet radiation by the ozone layer which is not available in space. 2. Direction of light do not alter the direction of growth; light is available in all directions. If incorrect the crops are likely to grow towards light therefore if the assumption is wrong, there will be poor interpretation of results. 3. The water and nutrients intake is not affected by gravity. If incorrect gravity will affect capillarity and other process of water and nutrients intake the crops resulting to the crop dying.
