Option Two: Degradability of Paper Products
Materials:





Containers with lids- preferably all the same size so they can hold the same amount of water
Samples of paper products such as toilet paper, paper towels, “flushable”wipes, baby wipes. ALL THE SAME
SIZE
Water
Markers and/or labels
Recording chart (You need to create this!)
THE EXPERIMENT: This will need at least 3 days!
QUESTION: Which paper products will biodegrade in water the quickest?
HYPOTHESIS:

PROCEDURE: How much water will you use? How much of the paper product? Will you shake the containers, if so,
how long and how often? When will you record the data?
Once you have completed the experiment and have your data and conclusion, you will go to the TOILET PAPER
FLIPGRID and it will take you to the flipgrid website.
