Here’s what you can do.
Linking Medicare
Medicare services can be linked up to MyGov in multiple ways, our Medicare phone line (132 011) is
open 24/7, if customers are able to prove their identity to an operator, a linking code can be
provided.
Customers are also manually link up with MyGov by answering the security questions, although this
may not advisable due to a large majority of customer attending offices after attempting a manual
link up.
The last resort is providing a linking code in office which can be done through the Linking Code tool.
After linking up to MyGov customers are able to download and access the Medicare express plus app
which allows customer to access all service options provided on the MyGov website.
What can be done?
Lodging Medicare claims/ viewing previous claims
Viewing/Updating Bank details
Updating personal and contact details
Requesting a replacement and duplicate cards
Contact details including residential and postal address can be easily updated.
Enrolling a newborn
Safety net balance and unverified payments
Immunisation history/covid
Completing task requesting updates to incorrect details
Viewing IHI details
Mailing preferences
