expectations on the training

TRAINING OBJECTIVE
• The central objective of this activity is to strengthen:
• the capacities of regional and national organizations in
policy formulation, policy implementation, and policy
advocacy as well as
• resource mobilization
AND
• to support the implementation of policies, particularly STI
policies among African countries

TRAINING OUTCOMES
• At the end of training, the country policy teams
will within a week:
• finalize stock take of all their National and Regional
Policies;
• assess all these policies using the AIS-PPI tool; and
• provide evidence for the analysis through submitting
published and unpublished documents, and
supporting data whenever available.

TRAINING OUTCOMES
• Besides the policies related to cross border trade,
the country teams would be notified of continuing
with the other steps of the AIS-PPI implementation
process:
• country team assessment;
• Independent review of assessment of AIS-PPI by main
stakeholders; and,
• stakeholder validation workshop of the PPI.
