everything that had happened and said, "I fear
that something may happen to me."

When the angel came down to Allah's messenger
for the
first time, with the message of Allah, our Prophet sfelt
overwhelmed and scared.
With his heart beating fast, he rushed back to his wife,
Khadijah
, and told her to cover him and expressed to her
his fear over what had just occurred.

Khadijah
was able to comfort him, give him guidance
and offer her husband support to face the biggest challenge
of his life.

Allah's Messenger
showed us again and again how to deal
with big/small emotions. He was an emotionally intelligent
man who was in touch with his feeling and was comfortable
discussing them and asking for help when he needed it.

EXPRESSING YOURSELF
Allah has blessed us with the capacity to experience
lots of different feelings, thoughts, emotions and
experiences.
All of these make up our mental health. Just like we
look after our physical health, we have to learn how to
look after our mental health.
In a day, we may experience many small feelings, that
come and go. However, some feelings just don't go
away. When we feel like this, we can go to someone
we trust and express how we have been feeling.
Who would you talk to?

recently. Express your emotion in one of the
following ways:
Write a letter
Write a nasheed
Paint a picture
Act out a play
Make a dua

Think about a time that you felt sad/anxious
recently. Try to express how it made you feel:
Do you know what happened that made you feel that way?
How did your body change when you felt that emotion?
What kind of thoughts were going through your head?
What did you do to try and manage the feeling?
