Show an illustration of 2 boys.
This is Loy.
He has 3 lollipops.


This is Roy.
He has 3 lollipops, too.
What do you see in the picture? (There are two boys with lollipops.)
How many lollipops does each boy have? (Each boy has 3 lollipops.)
IV. Introduction
Say: Today, we will learn on how to compare two sets using the expression “as
many as”.
V. Teaching Modeling
 Represent Loy’s and Roy’s Lollipop using real objects, cut-outs, pictures and call
each Set A and Set B, respectively.

Ask a pupil to show the one-to-one relationship between the number of lollipops in
Set A and the number of lollipops in Set B.

“As many as” is used to express the relationship between two sets having the
same number of objects. Let the pupils say the relationship between the
numbers of objects in Sets A and B using the expression “as many as”.
