Ron and Russ are final year law students from MMU (Multimedia University). They had just received their
final examination results on 6.9.2021. Russ did very well. She passed all her papers. While for Ron, he
failed his Criminal Procedure paper. He applied for re-marking and at the same time will be sitting for
supplementary exam which is fixed on 22.9.2021. They planned to start their pupillage together in the
middle of October 2021.
They send application together on 10.9.2021 to Messrs. Good & Co. Jalan Ampang Kuala Lumpur. Mr.
Good, a sole proprietor of the firm was very happy to receive the application as he has been appointed
to manage a development project in Shah Alam and he needs them to assist him handling the project.
He agreed to take them and promised to pay RM3000 per month during pupillage period. After 4 months
working with the firm, both Ron and Russ felt boring as they were only assigned to prepare and type the
sale and purchase agreements for Mr Good. They planned to discuss the matter with Mr Good later,
however before they can bring the matter to Mr Good’s attention, they were informed that Mr Good was
involved in a car accident and was in a serious condition. Mr Good could not talk and can’t remember his
surroundings.
Referring to the facts above, discuss the following:

Matter to be considered before sending pupillage application.

Advise Russ and Ron on how to complete their pupillage?
