1. Your brother’s room is so messy. He has lots of works to do and can’t even tidy up his
room. Offer your service.
Me
: Hi Dan, may I come in?
My brother
: Sure. What’s up? I’m really sorry, I can’t play with you now. I have many
things to do.
Me
: Don’t worry. I’m actually here to offer you a favor. I’d be glad to help.
My brother
: Thanks, but I think I finish this task by myself.
Me
: Oh, okay. But, let me help you clean up this messy room.
My brother
: That sounds great. Thanks.

: Anytime.

In composing a dialogue, there are several things that need to be considered,
namely:
- Understand the given situation. If you are asked to create a free dialogue, then
what is done is to determine the theme.
- Determine who is involved in the dialogue and the role of each character.
- Prepare a draft / plot outline of the story.
- Expand into a complete dialogue
- Recheck the dialogue that has been compiled

2. Your mom is preparing for your family dinner party. She is really busy preparing for the
meals. Offer a help to her.
Me : Mom, do you need some help?
Mom : Are you done with the table set?
Me : Yes I have. I think you will need some help.
Mom : Yes, can you bring me soy sauce?
Me : Oh, here it is. Any other?
Mom : No, thank you son.
Me : You’re welcome.
3. Your little sister is crying because she has lost her cute kitten. She has been trying to find
her kitten all day long. Offer her a help.
Me : Sis, what are you doing there?
Sister : Bro, I can’t find my kitten. Did you see it?
Me : Um, I don’t think so. Do you want me to help you find it?
Sister : Do you mind? I’m so tired to find my kitten all day long.
Me : Yeah, sis. Let me help you. Let’s look there.
Sister : Thank you, bro.
Me : Don’t mind it.
4. Your teacher is coming with bundle of books. She can hardly open up the door as her hands
are full of books. Offer your service.
Me : Good morning, Ms. Let me help you open the door.
Teacher : Hello, Good morning. Thank you.
Me : You’re welcome.
Teacher : You’re a very nice person.
Me : Thank you, Ms.
