1. What was the purpose of a Missionary society or of missionaries in general during the
1030’s? Where in the world ( country or continent) did they direct most of their attention
and efforts at this time?
To help support missions, especially for Christians
2. From the beginning of Missionary work, especially Christian missionary work, it was
always implied that those “receiving help” were uncivilized. What were 3 things that the
Mura people did “wrong” that made them “uncivilized?
3. Why wasn’t Scout allowed to go with Dill and Jem to the creek to learn to swim?
