Panchacala, MM Instructor “Business Ethical Dilemmas and Stakeholders” INTRODUCION An ethical dilemma is a moral situation in which is choice has to be made between two equally undesirable alternatives. Dilemmas may arise out of various sources of behavior or attitude, it may derive from the conflict between the rightness or wrongness of the actions and the goodness or badness of the consequences of the action. Stakeholders are all the people and parties who have some connections to your problem or situation, it is connected to your ethical decisions. Stakeholders are the the receivers, these are the people who are on the receiving end of your ethical decisions. The third parties these are the individuals, groups, department, even communities that are affected by our decision of the workplace environment and culture. A stakeholders is defined as an individual or group that has an interest in any decision or activity of an organization. Stakeholder is anybody who can affect or is affected by an organization, strategy or project. OBSERVATION Ethical Dilemma are everywhere, to test the decision making skills of the stakeholders. In workplace everyone is watching because ethics is always display to others, therefore, we are aware and careful of how others perceive our actions. Some ethical dilemmas are issues of conscience while the others came from outside from the sphere of influence because each one of us has it’s own twist and strategy. Issues came from unethical option that was unnoticeable illegal activity while at work that can make ethical issues in the company. The ethical dilemma arises from questioning whether or not employees would conduct illegal activity in the workplace if you simply make employees aware of your monitoring practices. These are harassment and intimidating behavior of supervisor that can make trouble to other. Moreover, it is because of the influence of other that doing a mistake without knowing it’s consequences. FINDINGS AND COMMENTS Conscience is one of the most important thing to be ethical person and a stake for success. Ethical issues influence the mismanagement, unnoticeable harassment, discrimination, and the strategy to fulfill his or her desire in the company. Without conscience of an ethical dilemmas the business will be corrupted because of a person who have the ability to do something illegal. A stakeholder does not obeying the law will be facing punishment and or go to jail though it’s their choice without knowing the consequences with their action. SUGGESTIONS/RECOMMENDATION A company recommended their stakeholder to play the rules, obey the law, being honest of behavior and speech, to look out for the company’s best interest and to show respect for property and people. We should aware and careful of how others perceive our actions. To suggest everyone to develop issue awareness, to have honesty refer to be truthful of actions, to have integrity refers to being whole , sound, and in an unimpaired condition, to be fairness the quality of being just, equitable and impartial. In a business, we should learn ethical behavior to manage well the company during crisis or dilemmas that needs an ethical person. The stakeholders of the company should be aware the right and wrong or good and bad ethics to prevent issues of the expectation of a person towards you. Choose a good manager or leader to reduce ethical dilemmas to teach a good behavior and good encouragement between you and your employer. To set vision, mission, goals and objectives by coordinating their action and to have collaboration to one another. SUMMARY OF LEARNINGS Ethics is important in our daily lives to conduct a good manners among other people but it can be defends on a person’s moral character. We cannot avoid bad ethics so it has to do with our conscience that moral self awareness of our behavior tells something that it is right or wrong. Our ethics is always display to others as an individual we should prepare ourselves from ethical dilemmas, to be aware and equip yourself with knowledge and skills so that we are ready to handle with. Honesty, truthful, and ethical person is needed in the workplace to fulfill obligation to co-workers and customer, to deal with outside agencies, contractor, and vendor and to present well your company, product and shareholders. By then, your business will be on success and a great management in your company, far from issues because the way a leader showing a great management was a great influenced by tthem. Moreover, Stakeholders are the the receivers, these are the people who are on the receiving end of your ethical decisions. The third parties these are the individuals, groups, department, even communities that are affected by our decision of the workplace environment and culture. But the ethical decisions of yours will be affected on the stakeholders because every decision has a consequences. Well said, think about all the stakeholders before you act not just how the consequences affect you.
