Software Engineering Course Policies / Guidelines Attendance Policy • 75% Presence is required as per university policy. – Once attendance is marked, students’ marked absent will remain absent; even if you arrive later. Makeup Policy • No makeup for assignment, quizzes, projects or exam – No exceptions. Zero Tolerance of Cheating • Any form of cheating will earn you Negative Marks. (i.e., If you are caught cheating in an assessment; you will earn negative 5 marks as a penalty) • This policy will be applied to all students involved in the incidence ‐ Including those whose material was copied • By remaining enrolled, you consent to this policy. You are Expected • To come to class on time. • To be attentive and engaged in class. • To spend an adequate amount of time outside the class to understand/practice various concepts, techniques, content, etc. • To seek help when appropriate. Personal Computer • A personal computer(laptop) is basic tool that every software engineering/computer science student must have. • Ideally you should already own a laptop computer. Which you should bring to every class in this course for practice and surprise assessments. Advice • This is core course. • If you cannot devote adequate amount of your time outside the class or not self-motivated, this class maynot be for you.
