One of the most prominent innovations is the connectivity that is anywhere and anytime through the internet, utilising Wi-Fi, smart phones, modems and numerous other digital technologies. The digital natives today who inhabit the schools of this age are apt to these changes but the big question is whether the education system planned and implemented by digital immigrants are responding to these changes and innovations. Are these twenty first century technologies being utilised for educational endeavours and administrative support? More importantly is whether the teachers of this age know how to shift from providers of information to facilitators of independent learners who can proficiently process and utilise information (McLeod & Lehmann, 2012)? Students today have to be prepared for not just today's changes but the yet to be unfurled changes and transformations that are upcoming and being conceptualised now. Thus, they must be equipped to be adaptive to changes with what is known as 21st century skills so as to have the arsenals to confront these transformations head-on when they embark into the workforce after completion of their educational route. These are very relevant and current issues that need to be addressed even in our country Malaysia that is racing to enter the developed world status. How do we educators make this quantum leap into a cloud-connected borderless environment so that students have the opportunity to learn in an immersive mode to the already arrived world of connectivity? This is the question that I want to explore in this project. Needless to say, there will not be a one-size-fits-all kind of solution but I would like to embark on this adventure with my student teachers who will soon enter the school market as trained educators. It is absolutely imperative that we who prepare beginning teachers for service in our Malaysian schools should grapple with the many questions on why, what and how to implement 21st century pedagogy.
