A major difference between online dating and dating face-to-face is the physical
interaction. While face-to-face dating has always been the traditional way of assessing the
character, behavior and personality of a partner deeming them suitable to date, online dating
however, offers a platform where the sharing of the aforementioned qualities can too be done
but without any physical interaction. Most persons feel more connected to their partner when
dating face-to-face because they have a chance to engage in different activities together,
unlike online dating where they only get to see and hear each other virtually. Both ways and
means of dating are similar, yet different in terms of physical interaction.

Online dating has become so popular over the past years. One possible motive steering
online dating could be that it saves time and money or it is less time consuming when
compared to face-to-face dating. Firstly, with online dating, as soon as you create a profile
establishing personal characteristics and suggest the kind of partner you’re looking for,
whichever website being used will instantly suggest an array of potential and prospective
options. Also, instead of having to go out every week with your spouse, one could simply
stay home and video-chat and still have fun, therefore, online dating eliminates money being
spent. Online dating is a relatively easy process which is considerably significant in reducing
hassle.
Section 3: Using examples, explain one major danger involved in online dating.
While online dating has many surprising advantages, the disadvantages of it are not to be
overlooked. One major danger involved in online dating could be the unsecure and unfiltered
flow of personal information on the site. While many people do lie and use false information
on the dating website, many still do present their unfiltered personal information such as their
full name, address and even naked pictures on their profile where the public has access to it.
For example, a rapist, felon or criminal can easily gain access to all these information and one
day show up at your house in disguise which in turn could harm you or anyone close to you.
Though online dating can be fun and interesting, it can also be harmful as one is not fully
secured on these websites.
