Goals for the Future Essay As the 2014 graduating class from Newton High School, you have the amazing opportunity and the immense responsibility of paving a path for those who come through this school from this year forward. As each individual begins to think about what is going to happen after crossing that stage, what will be some goals you feel you want to accomplish for your future and how that will affect the senior classes to follow? Directions: Write a letter in essay form, addressed to your English instructor Miss Wright. It is grouped into paragraph form for you. Use this format and be thorough and specific in detail in each paragraph. This is my first impression of you as a writer; make it GREAT! Write legibly and use complete sentences throughout. Check for spelling and grammar errors as you will be graded on your ability to write using all grammar rules. This will be your first Test grade for the year, exhibit your best work, ALWAYS! Do not use slang or abbreviate unless it is legitimate and justifiable. If you need a guide for length, it should be at least 1 page and no more than 2 pages in length; written. Prompt: Write a letter (in essay format) to your instructor that includes the following: For example, talk about what you will hope to accomplish in school, in your personal life, and on your career path. Also discuss what your plan is for reaching these goals. Paragraph #1 ME, NOW: my hopes, fears, dreams, intentions, goals, problems, concerns, likes, dislikes, joys, frustrations; what I like about myself; what I don’t like about myself; what I’m proud of; what I think about; what bothers me; who I am, etc. Paragraphs #2-MY FUTURE: predictions, what I want to do, my long range intentions, what I’m looking forward to; what I’m dreading; my goals, my hopes and fears for the world.
