1.Preface
1.1 Applicable area
This test manual is applicable for KL32GT611 LCD TV.
1.2 调试注意事项及要求
1.2.1 请按下列调试步骤和指定的测试仪器进行调试，否则将不能调好电视机，为了保证满意
的测试结果，在调试中必须保证所指定的偏压值。
1.2.2 调试之前请务必戴好静电手套。
1.2 Test notes
1.2.1 Please follow the pointed test steps and choose the proper test equipment to
conduct adjustment, otherwise good effect of TV set could not be obtained. Pointed
bias voltage value should be ensured during test to get satisfied test result.
1.2.2 Be sure that you have the static electricity –protective glove in before test.

4.1.2 HI-POT confirmation
Short-circuit power input L / N-terminal, plus 3000V AC between the L / N-side and power
secondary side to hold for six seconds. The leakage current between the primary and
secondary side must be ≤ 10 mA..

4.2.5 After turning on the power, if blank screen appears (no back light lamp), just press
POWER button several times,
4.2.6 if blank screen is still there，you must check that the voltage of every power supply is
right or not.
4.2.7 Check if the crystal oscillator Z501 (27MHz) oscillate or not, and oscillate frequency
is right or not.
4.2.8 Back light control signal (BKLT_EN) of R704 has high level (above 3V)
or not, if not, check whether fault soldered or short circuit happened。
4.5 White calibration adjustment
4.5.1Receive gray step signal, adjusting picture mode to standard.

5.1 Use PG4UW To Program The Firmware
1) Firstly,Download the PG4UW which version is V2.33d.

2) Run the program PG4UW , click “Found Programmer” and set it as below photo.
3) click”Device àSelect Device ”,and select “S25FL032P[SO8]”,,then click ok.

4)Click “File àOpen”,and Select the MERGE.bin(The bellow photo is a little different ,please
open the MERGE.bin)
5) Then select “Burn ”page, and click “Yes”

If it’s program correct,it will show a photo as bellow.
5.2 Burn The HDMI EDID.
For there is no Program Device on hand,please refer to 5.3 section. The operation steps
is same with burn HDCP KEY,only the file to be programmed is different.
5.3 Burn The HDCP KEY
MT8227 platform HDCP KEY is burning in the storage of main program Flash ( a, N504 ),

must use the online upgrade way to burn, the concrete steps:

HDCP KEY cutting: will contain a number of KEY file cut into containing a single KEY
file to write.
(1)the first contains a number of KEY file ( file name is 421605-423143 ) copy to the burn tool
directory, run directory in HDCP_Key_20080114.exe file, select a KEY file ( 421605423143 ), the following chart:
( 2 ) By Key KEY Offset to set the cutting start position (i.e., from the first few KEY began
cutting ), Output # is to cut out a single KEY number ( recommended when cutting the
number of < 1000 ). If you select" Output Single File" will output a single KEY file ( this option
applies to a large KEY files ( such as 10000) cut into a smaller number of ( such as 1000)
KEY file ). If you want to cut into the containing a single KEY file, then uncheck the option.

( 3) After the completion of installation, click the Gen HDCP button, in the recording file
directory to generate an output_keys_0 directory, directory with a plurality of containing a
single KEY file.

HDCP KEY burning
( 1) To edit the configuration file, right click the burn tool folder in the hdcptool.bat, select
"Edit", using a text editor to open the file, set ser following numerical into serial debugging
tools port number ( in the operating system of the" device manager" -" port" view, different
computer port number may not be the same as the other ), keeping the default can be
modified, save and exit ( the same computer, with a recording tool usually needs only
once ).
( 2) In the WindowsXP" start" menu, select "run"," CMD" type and" confirmation", enter
the DOS command line mode. Type "CD \ HDCPKeytool " and hit enter (assuming the
burn tool directory in the root directory of C ), into the" HDCPKeytool" directory.

( 3) using a serial recording tool connected to the television motherboard XS510 socket,
the television starting, type hdcptool and press enter to start burning, burning time,
burning about 1 ~ 2S, after the success will prompt" write success", and indicate the
burning to KEY file name. If the" write fail" failure prompt, according to the direction of the
keyboard keys "on the" out of hdcptool command and press again to burn again.

( 4) writing is completed, unplug the burn line, change a machine inserted serial line, run
the hdcptool command to burn ( do not need to type hdcptool, requires only the cursor
prompt state by direction key" on" to make a type hdcptool command ). Write successful
KEY will be automatically deleted, to ensure that the same KEY won't be repeated
burning.
Appendix A: the burn tool use ( through the XS510 on-line burn recording flash -- ( corresponding to board

television can.
Appendix B: USB upgrade method ( through the USB interface upgrade TV program )
The method is applicable to a television capable of normal case of boot upgrade program:
Upgrade steps:
( 1) the BIN program files are copied to the U root directory, and changed its name to
MTKDTV.BIN
( 2 ) in the television starting condition, the U disk inserted into any USB port, and press"
source" key tangential to the USB input.
( 3 ) select the U disk drive icon, press any key to enter the U disk, this will be detected
including procedure documents, and eject the upgrade tips (see diagram below ), press

"enter" to start the upgrade.
( 4) the whole upgrade process about 2 minutes, during which the television cannot
upgrade power, success will automatically restart after.
(5 ) if the upgrade failed to TV does not start, must through the serial port to the burn tool
heavy firing procedures ( see Appendix A ).
