TOPIC Monday, 30th August 2021 1 Mediterranean sea The largest island is Crete which is in the Mediterranean Sea. Modern Greece is in Europe, and is situated on the Mediterranean Sea, between Italy and Turkey. The country is made up of a mainland and over 2000 islands. It has many beaches, mountains and islands and its capital city, Athens, has an average temperature of 26 degrees of Celsius. The people who live there are called Greeks. Do you know?
