ART 3D BUILDING PROJECT BY: SADIE LOUGHLIN THE CREST • The environment: • I chose the beach for my location because its one of my favorite places and since I stay there every weekend, I would have plenty of time to see how my building should adapt. The building is based off of the Sydney Opera house, cresting waves, and the way barnacles look when stuck to a rock. The building has the garage as the first level and no basement so that when flooding occurs, nothing important is damaged. The building also has “clean” colors to blend in with the environment. The walls are of average thickness so that humidity does not cause any mold to grow inside. EXTERIOR SKETCHES INTERIOR SKETCH • This house is most likely owned by a very rich person. So, to accommodate that, the building has many rooms and much newer technology. • The rooms it has included are: • An astronomy tower • A falconry • An indoor garden room • Master bedroom • Kitchen • Lounge • Guest room • Master Bathroom PHOTOS OF BUILDING CONCLUSION • Key ideas: • This building is located on the beach and has adaptions made for it. • It is based off of the Sydney Opera house and cresting waves. • It is made out of foam and has a white color in order for the light blues and greens of the oceans to highlight it.
