An Explanation Note for Teachers
The following pages are arranged according to skills. You will see that
the top portion of the first two pages is labeled “PowerPoint Notes” because
all of the problems in this section match the PowerPoint slides. This section
is designed so that students can write on this page as you are advancing
through the PowerPoint.
You will also notice that there is a bordered section on the bottom of the
first two pages. This section is your exit slip. My plan is to have my students
complete the exit slip, cut it out, and give it to me. The exit tickets are
designed to allow teachers to check for understanding before moving to a
new skill in the PowerPoint. Students who have difficulty with various
problems on the exit ticket may need additional small group or individual
instruction.
*The final section, “Comparing Fractions”, is arranged slightly differently.
The notes cover 1 ¾ pages, and the exit ticket can be found at the bottom
of the second notes page.
This section contains the
PowerPoint notes. The problems
match what is found on the
PowerPoint.
This bordered section contains the
exit ticket. After completing the
matching section of the PowerPoint,
you can check for understanding
by using the exit ticket.
