Each person in the group should view the picture provided. 2. Set the timer for 3 minutes. 3. In your Writer’s Notebook use the tone and mood of the image to begin writing a short story. Be sure to incorporate elements of the picture into your story. 4. Write until the timer rings. 5. Next, rotate your notebooks counter-clockwise. 6. Set the timer for 4 minutes. 7. Read what was previously written, and continue writing an extension of the story until the timer rings. 8. Next, rotate notebooks counter-clockwise. Repeat adding one minute per round until you receive your notebook back. 9. Review your original writing and the extensions. 10.Take turns reading each story aloud.
