Explain how the passage illustrates any of the general themes of Roman civilization that we’ve been
exploring. Does it confirm or disconfirm other evidence about Roman cultural norms such as
(e.g.) Roman identity, gender roles, family relations, or political life? In what ways is it parallel to
other evidence you've read? Draw specific and detailed comparisons.
