Notice of Monetary Re-Determination
BRITTNEY CLOUD,
Your claim for Pandemic Unemployment Assistance was filed on September 14, 2020. Information about your
monetary eligibility is explained below. You should keep this letter for reference throughout the duration of your
claim.
Decision
You meet the monetary eligibility requirements to establish a claim for Pandemic Unemployment Assistance
benefits. You are entitled to receive benefits as long as you are not disqualified or held ineligible for other
reasons.
Claim Summary

You may receive up to $263.00 each week you are eligible for benefits.
You are eligible for up to 57 weeks of benefits.
Your maximum benefit amount is $14,991.00.
You are entitled to file for benefits beginning from March 29, 2020, if otherwise eligible.
Unless federal law changes, the program will end with the week ending March 13, 2021. If you receive
benefits for the week ending March 13, 2021, you may continue to collect any remaining entitlement through
the week ending April 10, 2021, provided you are otherwise eligible.
The Continued Assistance Act increased the maximum amount of benefits available under the PUA program from
39 weeks to 50 weeks. If you exhausted your PUA benefits prior to the week ending December 26, 2020, you
may be eligible for additional benefits beginning with the week ending January 2, 2021. You do not need to apply
to receive the additional benefits, but you must continue to file your claim each week for the PUA program. These
additional 11 weeks of PUA benefits may only be collected for weeks ending on or after December 27, 2020. Any
weeks in which you received regular unemployment compensation (UC) or Extended Benefits (EB) since January
27, 2020 will be subtracted from this amount.
Starting with week ending January 2, 2021 and ending with the week ending March 13, 2021, you will receive a
$300 supplemental payment from the Federal Pandemic Unemployment Compensation (FPUC) program for any
week that you are eligible for PUA. There is no phaseout period for FPUC. This means that the last payable week
for FPUC is week ending March 13, 2021.
The maximum benefit amount shown above does not include any Federal Pandemic Unemployment
Compensation (FPUC) that you are potentially eligible for. Individuals receiving Pandemic Unemployment
Assistance benefits may also be eligible to receive an additional $300 weekly benefit amount under the FPUC
program between the weeks ending January 2, 2021 and March 13, 2021.
You do not need to contact the agency or submit a separate application to be considered eligible for the
additional $300 FPUC weekly benefit amount. It will be automatically applied to your payment for qualifying
weeks and is separate from your Pandemic Unemployment Assistance weekly benefit amount.

Computation of your Weekly Benefit Amount: Hawaii Revised Statues 383-22, states in part… (1) An individual’s
weekly benefit amount is equal to the high quarter wages divided by 21, but not more than the current maximum
weekly benefit amount. (2) If your earnings were $22,092 or less, you would be eligible for the minimum PUA
benefit of $263.
If your net income for 2019 exceeded $22,092, you may qualify for more than the minimum weekly benefit
amount (WBA) of $263. You may request a redetermination of your benefit amount any time during the Pandemic
Assistance Period which ends December 31, 2020. You will have 21 days to submit income verification
documentation following your request for redetermination.
Weekly Certifications
You must file weekly claim certifications every week to continue receiving benefits. Failure to certify each week
will result in non-payment for that week.

accessible twenty-four hours a day and seven days a week.
Appeal Rights
If you disagree with this determination, you have the right to file an appeal. Your appeal must be received within
10 calendar days from the issue date of this determination. The deadline may be extended to 30 days by the

If you are unable to file your appeal online, please mail your appeal and this letter to the Employment Security
Appeals Referees Office (ESARO), 830 Punchbowl St. Room 429, Honolulu, HI 96813.
If you are still unemployed while waiting for a hearing, you must continue to request benefit payments by
