Properties of Matter
Solids have a definite size and shape, meaning the size and shape do not change. Measurable properties of
solids could include length, temperature, mass and volume.
Liquids have a definite volume, but they take the shape of their containers. Measurable properties of liquids
could include temperature, mass and volume.
Gases do not have a definite shape, or volume. Gases take the shape and size of their container. Measurable
properties of gases include temperature and mass
