NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY CALICUT Office of the Dean Students' Welfare Ref: D SWO/c ampusr eturnl July I 202 | 22.07.2021 HIGHTPR HINDERS IMMEDIATE CAMPUS RETURN OF STUDENTS Due to the current high Test Positivity Rate (TPR) of COVID l9 in the state of Kerala and especially in the Calicut district, it is informed that at present the Institute is NOT planning to bring back UG and PG students to the campus hostels. Experts in the health department also predict a third wave of COVID 19 frorn the month of August in the country. ln this background, all students are informed that the Institute shall not be considering any requests for campus return by UG/PG students till there is an official order from the Government of India and the Government of Kerala specifically allowing UG/PG students to work physically in the campuses. All the club activities (clubs urnder SAC) shall also continue to be undertaken in the online mode. Students who have net connectivity issues may please make own necessary arrangements for attending tlie online classes. The situation shall be reviewed periodically snd these decisions will be revised uccording to the pandemic situation in the country und as per the Government orders. Until then, the students are advised to stay safe in their hornes and continue to do their academic activities in the online mode. Wishing all students, a fruitful and safe semester ahead.
