An Act further to amend the Rivers and Canals 0rdinance
[2nd November, 1968]
ENACTED by the Parliament of Mauritius, as followsShort title.
1.
This Act may be cited as the Rivers and Canals (Amendment)Act,
1968, and shall be read as one with the Rivers and Canals
Ordinance, as subsequently amended, hereinafter referred to as
the principal Ordinance.
Section 78 of principal 0rdinance amended

Section 78 of the principal Ordinance shall have effect as if for
subsection (3) there were substituted the following subsection (3)(a)
(b)
The copies referred to in subsection (1) of this
section shall be free from stamp and registration
duties and fees and shall he transmitted by the
Registrar-General
to
the
Permanent
Secretary,
Ministry of Works, immediately after the registration
thereof for deposit in the Records Office of the
Ministry of Works and when so deposited shall be
stamped with the stamp of the Records Office of the
Ministry of Works.
All documents referred to in subsections (1) and (2)
of this section and which were in the custody of the
Chief Archivist immediately prior to the passing of
this Act shall be transferred to the Records Office
of the Ministry of Works.
Passed in the Legislative Assembly, Island of Mauritius, this
twenty-ninth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and sixty-eight.
