CHAPTER I
Introduction
Background of the Study
Karaoke is an activity where people sing different songs. The words to sings are
displayed on a TV screen where people sing them out loud. Karaoke was invented in
Japan in the 1980s and became popular around the world in the 1990s. The global
karaoke market is estimated to be worth $10 billion.
KTV is a good channel to express your soul through songs and to connect to
people.
A KTV provides karaoke rooms which accommodate the guests while they
entertain their selves through singing. These rooms are decorated with party lights and
comfortable sofas. You can choose different songs you want to sing by using a remote
control or application from your phone. You can also order food and drinks which you
are allowed to consume inside the karaoke room. The price of renting a karaoke room
will depend on the number of hours the guest stays.
Given that there is an established market for karaoke worldwide and new markets
are emerging, the group was able to conceptualize a KTV Station to be located in
Victorias City.

Waste Management Disposal System
Garbage containers are sources of bacteria and may also attract pests. They need to be
carefully managed to prevent food contamination. The following are the guidelines to
ensure that they dispose the food safely:
1. Arrange regular garbage collection. Do not allow garbage containers to overflow.
2. Regularly hose down and clean garbage containers.
3. Always use a bin liner for garbage containers. This is a good way to ensure that
the garbage containers are kept as clean as possible and that harmful bacteria do
not have time to grow on the inside of unit itself.
4. Keep lids tightly closed on garbage containers when in use.
5. Dispose of dangerous items such as syringes in special containers. Talk to the
manager if unsure of how to dispose of dangerous items.

6. Do not use garbage containers to transfer food or ice.
7. Finally, always wash hands after handling garbage.
The City Government of Victorias through Solid Waste Management will collect the
garbage during weekdays.
