Research Methodology Seminar Presentation Outline Present in 7-10 minutes the problem formulation part of your proposal including the following Items: • • • • • • • • • General Background of the issue, explaining the issue to people not in the field (show some relevant photos, tables and figures to introduce the problem) (2- 3 slides) Brief Literature Review identifying the gaps in knowledge (show progress in knowledge and where your work will contribute) (2-5 slides) Clear declaration of Problem Statement (one slide 1-3 paragraph) Purpose statement Research Questions and objectives (show the relationship/mapping) in one slide Scope Significance Flow chart of methodology with brief description (2-5 slides). List of References (only those cited in your presentation). As a rough guidelines your presentation should have about 15-20 slides. Presentation will be made using Google meet. Research Methodology Seminar Presentation Outline SOME GROUND RULES 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. You will be divided into 6 groups, about 9 persons per group, see Excel file. For each session all the group members must come 15 minutes before the session starting time, and test your screen sharing capability. To prevent disturbance during the session, no one will be allowed to join after the session has started. You are encouraged to also attend the sessions even if you are not presenting in those sessions. This is optional. Please switch off/mute your microphone while others are presenting. The presenter must switch on his/her video camera while making presentation. Each presenter must present in not less than 7 minutes but not more than 10 minutes. After each presentation, all participants are highly encourage to contribute by asking questions or comment on the presentation, applying knowledge gained through this class. This will help improve the presenter’s proposal and future presentation. Please switch on your microphone and video camera when speaking.
