PERSONAL/AUDIENCE LINK (this is important): Many students find that their family background focused on education. Others have a passion for helping others and being in a classroom. (Talk about yourself) C. THESIS STATEMENT or Central Idea (statement that identifies the main idea or purpose of your speech): These students chose to be part of the college of education that shows us how to become the best educators in our state. II. BODY A. MAIN POINT #1: Classes and Requirements Support: 1. Who teaches the classes, and he help we receive for the classes and from our advisors 2. Internships (why and when and how) 3. How every other specific major ties into each other (child in youth studies, elementary ed, secondary ed, ESOL majoring, etc.) MAIN POINT #2: Career Assistance and Field Trips Support: 1. Advisors and professors help us engage and pick out which schools best fit our needs and views on education. (every school is different, etc.) 2. ^Like when we pick out schools to intern at. 3.Field trips also help with making this decision, as well as give us field experience for what we could expect to happen in the classroom. III. CONCLUSION A. SUMMARY STATEMENT (reworded thesis statement):Being part of the college of education has many perks that allow us to feel free to make decisions that eventually help us the time we graduate. B.
