Use of biotechnology ● They can be applied to: ● ○ Food ○ Health and Medicine ○ Crops/Plants ○ Environmental things This can help us with more other things. The Benefit of Biotechnology ● Aiding in growing more food on less land thus enhanced productivity and efficiency gains. ● Farmers spend less time in the fields and more time on social activities. ● Farmer save on the cost usually paid for ploughing, weeding, and spraying pesticides. ● More food available to feed the growing world population. Disadvantages of biotechnology ● They may transfer genetic material into natural ● This may cause the plants to be more but does not benefit the other group of organism ● For instinct, a herbicide resistant could transfer the traits to a weed.
