Have you ever wondered how is it like when u die? Many people said that, death is the ending of your life when you stop breathing and your heart stops beating. So, is that really the ending for life? In my opinion, I don’t think so. Life and death are concepts that are inseparable. It would be unfair to say that life ends after death. Therefore, I believe that there is life after death. So, today I will be talking about there is life after death. First of all, I believe that there is life after death because the person lives on in our heart as memories. This is because everything reminds us of the person. For example, it is natural to think about them when we taste their favourite food. Somehow, these memories will find a way to insert themselves into our daily life. Since the human emotion associated with such memories can only be experienced by living things such as you and me, is it really true that life completely ceases after death? In my opinion, I will argue the opposite of that because the deceased will usually live on as precious memories of ours. Now, let me ask you a question. Where does the concept of afterlife come from? Many demographics hold the belief that a deceased individual will turn into a spirit. To give an example, the Chinese hold the belief of reincarnation. So, the cycle of karma shows us that there is a fundamental believe that while the body can die, the soul lives on. Besides that, this can be seen from the celebration of Halloween. People who celebrate Halloween usually dressed in costumes because they believe that on that day the souls of the dead will return to their home. They will also light up bonfires because they believe that this can ward off spirits. This further strengthen the point that there is life after death. Lastly, people might claim that there is no life after death as they see death as a mean to absolute end. However, my point of view is that after we die, our dead body will be buried and it will decompose underground. It breaks down the soil and become nutrients for plants to grow. The plants will be eaten by animal, end up human will hunt and eat the animal. Hence, this completes the cycle of life further making evident that life continues even after death. To sum up everything that have been stated so far, dying is just a process that every living organism need to experience. However, death is never an ending. It is a new start for an afterlife.
