What are the specific advantages of using computerized decision making? How can computers be better decision makers than humans? -Tasks that are repetitive, such as inventory organizing are well suited for computerized decision making. Their advantage is being able to do these tasks very fast that can take up a lot of time if a person does them. Computers are better than humans in making decisions where perception and emotion are involved. 2. What are the weaknesses of using computers as decision tools? Are computers likely to have any specific problems in making decisions that people wouldn’t have? -The weaknesses of using computers as decision tools are their limitations in areas of intuition and creative thinking , they also cant adapt automatically when values change. Computers might have problems in areas of flexibility , not being able to look at a situation from various perspectives , or not being able to evaluate or compare properly in various situations. 3. Do you think computer decision making systems can effectively take ethical issues into account? What is the role of human decision makers in creating ethical choices? -NO, because they do not have consciousness or the ability to understand but if they acquire these abilities they can. The role of human decision makers in creating ethical choices is to create ethical choices that reduce future conflicts. 4. Are there advantages to completely disconnecting from the wired world when possible? What can you do to try to retain your ability to focus and process information deeply? -Yes , there are many advantages of disconnecting from the wired world when possible, like socializing with people, organizing, exercising and being more effective. To retain my ability to focus and process information I would : -do the important tasks first -turn off all distractions and focus on my single most important task -properly organize my time
