ACTIVITY DESIGN
RATIONALE
The strengthened Internal Governance Capacity, as one of the outcomes areas for DILG,
is focused on the provision of necessary interventions to capacitate its Field Officers in
order for them to deliver the required outputs of various Department PPAs. This
outcome area is all focused in leading DILG personnel to the right track/direction
towards the smooth operations of the office for the realization of the other outcomes.
In view hereof and in order to produce a productive workplace and effective operations,
it does not only require interventions like trainings, seminars and other capability
development activities. This also calls for an organization that is sensitive to the needs
and concerns of its personnel.
The conduct of a dialogue by the Regional Management with the DILG Field Officers is a
strategy that is envisioned to further enhance the working relationship among DILG R6
personnel, to provide venue for intellectual discourse and exchange of ideas to further
improve field operations. Moreover, in this activity, the adjustments/realignment in the
2nd Semester targets and the new priority thrusts/directions of the Department which is
the result of the assumption of the new administration will be discussed.
Hence a two-day interfacing activity in Iloilo Provincial and City field operating units is
conceived.
OBJECTIVES
This activity aims to:





Provide a venue for a consultative dialogue by the Regional Management on the
implementation of various programs with all operating offices;
inform field officers of the latest updates on various programs of the
Department, like the Grassroots Participatory Planning and Budgeting [GPBP]
provide venue for the Regional Management to identify the strength and
weakness of each operating unit and individual Field Officer;
present the status of report submission and implementation of different
projects/programs of the Field Officers; and
discuss 2nd Semester target adjustment/ realignment and the new thrust/
direction of the Department.
DATE, VENUE AND PARTICIPANTS
This two-day activity will be conducted in Iloilo City [specific venue to be identified
later]. This will involve all the MLGOOs, technical and administrative staff in the Province
of Iloilo (69), LGOOs and Administrative personnel in the City of Iloilo (10) and twenty
(20) participants from the Regional Office, thus, the totaling into ninety-eight (98)
participants. The scheduled date is on July 28-29, 2016.

BUDGETARY REQUIREMENTS
A Total of PhP will be allocated for this activity which is broken down as follows:




2 snacks and 1 lunch for 99 participants @PhP550.00 per day
