Proportions of the Face
Hairline
(Hairline is ½ way between eyes
and top of head.
Eyes (center of face)
Ears
(Space created by guidelines from
eyes and nose)
Nose
(Nose is ½ way between eyes and
bottom of chin)
Mouth (bottom of lip)
(bottom of lip is ½ way between
nose and chin)
Dividing Line-divide the face vertically for symmetry reference.
Tip: Draw guidelines lightly to show placement of facial features. Guidelines
will be erased cleanly if lines are lightly sketched.

Sclera-White of eyes
Pupil-Black part of eyes that allows you to see.
Iris-Show your eye color.
Highlight-Reflection of light in the eye.

Use light lines to draw circles for the eye shapes.
