Πώς κάνουμε τις βιβλιογραφικές αναφορές με το σύστημα Harvard
(ή με το παρόμοιο σύστημα APA)
Σύμφωνα με το πρότυπο Harvard οι αναφορές παρεμβάλλονται στη ροή του
κειμένου εντός παρενθέσεως και συντάσσονται ως εξής : (Επίθετο συγγραφέα,
(κόμμα) χρονολογία δημοσίευσης : (άνω κάτω τελεία) αριθμός σελίδας ή από
σελίδα τάδε έως τάδε)
π.χ. (Πελεγρίνης, 1997 : 14 -16).
Οι βιβλιογραφικές πηγές που αναφέρονται μέσα στο κείμενο παρουσιάζονται με
αλφαβητική σειρά στο τέλος της εργασίας ως εξής:
Πελεγρίνης, Θ. (1997). Ηθική Φιλοσοφία. Αθήνα: Ελληνικά Γράμματα.
Προσοχή: ο τίτλος του βιβλίου γράφεται πάντα με πλάγια γράμματα (italics)
Παράδειγμα αναφοράς στο τέλος της παραγράφου:
Cybernetics takes the view that the structure of the machine or of the organism is an index of the
performance that may be expected from it. The fact that the mechanical rigidity of the insect is such as to
limit its intelligence while the mechanical fluidity of the human being provides for his almost indefinite
intellectual expansion is highly relevant to the point of view of this book. … man's advantage over the rest
of nature is that he has the physiological and hence the intellectual equipment to adapt himself to radical
changes in his environment. The human species is strong only insofar as it takes advantage of the innate,
adaptive, learning faculties that its physiological structure makes possible. (Wiener, 1954 :57-58, italics in
the original)
Όταν αναφέρουμε το όνομα του συγγραφέα ή του βιβλίου στη ροή του κειμένου, σε
παρένθεση βάζουμε μόνο την ημερομηνία, ενώ τον τίτλο του βιβλίου τον βάζουμε με
πλάγια γράμματα.
Παράδειγμα:
When the War ended, Wiener wrote the book Cybernetics (1948) in which he described his new branch of
applied science and identified some social and ethical implications of electronic computers. Two years later
he published The Human Use of Human Beings (1950), a book in which he explored a number of ethical
issues that computer and information technology would likely generate.
Σε περίπτωση που αναφερόμαστε σε κάποια πηγή του διαδικτύου βάζουμε εντός
του κειμένου: συγγραφέα, ημερομηνία, όπως στις άλλες αναφορές, ενώ στις
βιβλιογραφικές πηγές προσθέτουμε το URL και την ημερομηνία πρόσβασης στην
συγκεκριμένη σελίδας.
Για παράδειγμα:
Bynum, T. (2011). Computer and Information Ethics. The Stanford Encyclopedia of
Philosophy. Edward N. Zalta (ed.). URL =
http://plato.stanford.edu/archives/spr2011/entries/ethics-computer/ (online:
ημερομηνία επίσκεψης) π.χ. (online: 15/02/2012)
Προσοχή: ο τίτλος του website γράφεται με πλάγια γράμματα (italics)
Σε περίπτωση που αναφερόμαστε σε κάποια πηγή από περιοδικό, βάζουμε εντός
του κειμένου συγγραφέα, ημερομηνία, σελίδα όπως στις άλλες αναφορές, ενώ στις
βιβλιογραφικές πηγές προσθέτουμε τόμο τεύχος και αριθμό σελίδων.
Για παράδειγμα:
Gounaris, A. (2011). Intentionality and the Emergence of Meaning: An hypothesis for
the naturalistic foundation of human mind. Philosophia, Annual Journal of the
Research Centre for Greek Philosophy of the Academy of Athens. v.41, 2011, pp
319-321
Προσοχή: ο τίτλος του περιοδικού γράφεται πλάγια γράμματα (italics)
