Control Traverse & Surveying Computation Problems in Cadastral Surveys
NOTE:
Students are required to spend few minutes studying the attachment carefully before attempting
all the questions below;
The Attachment shows a closed traverse BM 44, 46, 01, 02, 03, 04 and closing back to BM44.
Carry out the following Calculations:
1) Calculate the AZIMUTH DATUM LINE from BM 44 to BM 46 given the coordinates; 04 marks
a. BM 44; 499175.589 E, 9262356.190 N
b. BM 46; 499331.103 E, 9262359.824 N
2) From the attachment use the Exterior Angles given to compute the bearing of each lines. Adopt
the Azimuth Datum in Question 1 and transfer the bearing to all other lines in the traverse.
Note that all distances are given as shown on the Attached Diagram.

3) At BM 44 set up during the closing of the traverse, calculate the Exterior Angle at the set up

4) Calculate the Coordinates of IP 01, IP 02, IP 03 and IP 04.

5) Calculate the Total Area of the Traverse in the attachment
