Biography Heads Project
We have been learning about what it means to be a great leader
through the writings and speeches of Nelson Mandela. Your task to
create a poster that represents the qualities of a great leader that
you chose. Individually, you will be creating a poster using
information including facts, quotes and pictures and filling in the
“head” of the person to show others what makes them who they are
and what they are known for.
This is an individual project in which you will identify the following
requirements on your chosen individual:
 Facts about your leader. What are they known for? What are
some things maybe not everyone knows about them? You
need at least eight (8) words or phrases for proficient
 Quotes – did your chosen leader say something profound? You
need at least one (1) for proficient
 Pictures – drawings that describe the person, their personality
what they are known for etc. You need at least five (5) for
proficient
 A citations page showing relevant sources for researching your
individual leader. You need at least three (3) for proficient
All requirements from above must also have the following:
 In ink and colored, correct spelling, grammar, punctuation
This is an assessment, so you will be expected to put hard work and
effort to create a poster that you are proud of. You will need to use
your time effectively in class or work on it at home.
