In this project you will investigate the various elements that allow a photographer to create effective images using composition. Project Description (What am I doing?): Assignment #1: ● Using a digital camera, take a minimum of one photograph of the following types of composition (see below). ○ Framing - Using foreground or frame elements to create a frame around the subject. ○ Informal Balance – different things catch your eye, not just one. (multiple objects – tends to be asymmetrical.) (See this article for a description of balance types) ○ Formal Balance – both sides of the picture are similar (usually symmetrical) ● Create a word document with all your chosen images and place the composition type / strategy you used below each image with an explanation of WHY IT REPRESENTS THE COMPOSITIONAL STRATEGY. ● Submit this document on D2L
