7th Grade Human Body Systems Project (This counts as a TEST GRADE!) Over the past few weeks we have covered 4 of the 12 human body systems. Your task now is to create an Adobe Spark or Google Slide presentation that describes the systems of the human body. This presentation will describe the systems we have covered this year and should be made as if it were a guide or instructional tool for those who may not know the human body systems quite as well as you. Organ Systems for Project Digestive system Respiratory system Circulatory system Excretory/Urinary system INFORMATION THAT MUST BE INCLUDED for EACH SYSTEM: State function (purpose) of the system List the organs in the system Description of how the system works with other systems Illnesses (at least 2) that can affect the organs in the system (briefly describe them) At least 2 interesting facts A picture of the system/main organs PROJECT REQUIREMENTS: Your project must also include a cover page and table of contents (if using Adobe Spark, you don’t have to include a table of contents). Your cover page should have a title, include student name(s) and be “visually appealing”. You may work in a group of no more than 2 people or you may work on the project by yourself. (If you choose to work in a group all members must share the work as equally as possible since each student will be graded on the research they did as well as their contribution to the final grade.) You will have time in class to work on the project, however if you do not complete the work during the provided class time, it will need to be completed on your own time. Project Due Date: December 18, 2018 You will only be given 5 class days to work on this: 12/10 – 12/14 Grading: This project will be counted as one test grade, (remember that tests average to be 30% of your overall grade!) Refer to the rubric on the next page!!! There are some items you could add to your information on each system below. These are not required but are good to know for the Final Exam at the end of the year, sooooo … I recommend that you include them Additional Things You May Want to Include: Respiratory System: - What gas does the respiratory system inhale? Exhale? - Describe the path that air takes through the respiratory system beginning with the mouth and ending in the lungs. Circulatory System: - What is blood pressure? - Why is it bad if blood pressure is too high? Too low? - Trace how blood flows through the circulatory system Digestive System: - Definition and example of mechanical and chemical digestion. - Describe the pathway that food takes through the digestive system (starting with mouth and ending with excretion out of the body). Excretory System - Define excretion - How is excretion different from elimination? For EACH system did you… State the Function? *Full Credit* 10 POINTS 7 POINTS 4 POINTS 1 or 0 Points All 4 Systems 3 Systems 2 Systems 1 System (Or missing some info from other systems) (Or missing a lot of info from other systems) (Or missing a lot info from other systems) List all Organs?
