An article about cyber-bullying.
Have you ever heard about what is cyber-bullying? No? So
don’t you mind to gain your knowledge?
Cyber-bullying is a form of harassment and aggressive behavior intended
to harm others through technological means such as the Internet, text
messaging, or voice mail messages. Threatening or malicious messages
can be sent directly to a person, or hurtful or humiliating comments can
be posted about a person.
Bullies have been around for a long time, but with the development of
the Internet, they have gained an electronic opportunity to exploit and
even torture other people. Such unpleasant, uneducated and rude people
do not think about human feelings. They can do it all the time, 24/7.
BUT WHAT ABOUT SITUATION OF CYBER-BULLYING IN
KAZAKHSTAN?
"Bullying begins in the family, and if a child sees that there is aggression,
and if he is a victim of bullying in the family, then carries it to another
environment, to school, and looks for someone who can pour his
aggression on. There is bullying among children, but also among adults,"
said the speaker (Lyazyat Askarova).
Managing Director of Kaspersky Lab in Kazakhstan Evgeny Pitolin said: "43
% of children in primary school already have a page in social networks.
Among high school students this indicator increases to 95 percent.”
Prevention
Education, monitoring and participation are important to prevent
cyber-bullying. Parents should teach their children how to treat others
online with respect, establish rules for online etiquette, monitor
computer use and continuously discuss online activities with their
children.
