Set goals and targets based on health and legal guidelines

Investigate incidents, and implement health and safety
recommendations.
Orient new joiners and make them understand their roles and
responsibilities to create an effective and safe worker
Continually identify workplace hazards and evaluate risks.
Ensure initial assessments of existing hazards/exposures and their control
measures are reviewed periodically through inspections and reassessments so as to remain efficient.
Ensure that incidents are investigated with the goal of identifying the
root causes and not to apportion blame.

Ensure that identified hazards are prioritized for control.
Develop a plan that ensures the controls are implemented, interim
protection is provided, progress is tracked, and the effectiveness of
controls is verified.
Employees participate in worker training programs, to gain knowledge on
the scope of work being performed and how to carry out their
responsibilities assigned to them under the program.
Managers and supervisors receive adequate training on safety
concepts/safe systems of work and their responsibility for protecting
workers’ rights and responding to workers’ reports and concerns.
Leaders allow all workers to be trained to recognize workplace hazards
and to understand the control measures that have been implemented.
Make arrangements for main contractors, and staffing agencies to
coordinate on work planning and scheduling to identify and resolve any
conflicts that could affect health and safety of the workers.
