SEASON FACTS:
 Summer Solstice- In the Northern
Hemisphere- June 21- North pole tilted toward the
sun- more direct rays & longer days
 Winter Solstice- North pole tilted AWAY from
the sun- December 21. Fewer daylight hours, less
direct rays
 Equinoxes- Two times during the year, the sun is directly
overhead at the equator at solar noon- marking the beginning of the
spring & fall seasons- equal hours of day and night
