03/17/2020 TO: Dr. Frants and Zackary Bolles: Thank you, for taking the time to assist me with this vital paperwork. As a Social Work Supervisor, my primary responsibility is to provide at least 16 hours weekly of psychosocial educational treatment programming to psychiatric patients who are involuntarily hospitalized at Greater Binghamton Health Center. As a Supervisor, I am also responsible for providing backup services to Social Work Staff and Rehabilitation Staff as needed. In these events I am usually working individually with patients or again providing group treatment. I have been employed with the Greater Binghamton Health Center for the past 23 years. My primary concern is exposure to the Covid-19 and the dangers it presents to someone with my current health diagnosis: high blood pressure which is currently medicine controlled; a Pre- Diabetic with Hyperlipidemia (sees Dr. Ramanujan); bi- annual cardiac monitoring due to history of minor heart attack in 2016. The Greater Binghamton Health Center (GBHC) is a 24-hour NYS psychiatric facility which provides treatment and housing to 77 inpatients on three units and 37 outpatients on three additional units. Given the COVID-19 pandemic, GBHC is planning the quarantine preparations for patients and staff. In the event of an emergency, all staff members are required to remain on duty until released (see attached emergency policy). If you have any questions, please contact me at 607-743-9352 or my daughter and health care proxy (Rachel Reynolds) 607-743-9354 in the event you are unable to reach me. I will be happy to pick up the completed document upon your call. Thank you for your time and consideration. Sincerely, JoAnne Reynolds
