The sage or the wise is the most ideal type of person, but it is difficult to be one and not everyone can be a sage. Confucius encouraged his followers to be a jun tzu or a gentleman. Jun tzu is second only to sage. A jun tzu is disciplined, hardworking, and does not engage in empty talk. While Li pertains to proper social behavior or conduct If one has Yi, then it will be easy for him/her to practice Li.
