Celebrity Research Paper
We just finished William Shakespeare’s Macbeth, a play in which a character seems to be driven
mad by his desires to gain power and his knowledge of the future. Bearing this in mind, it is not
uncommon for individuals to have life circumstances or illnesses that make them appear
insane.
For your research project, you will choose a celebrity from the list provided and determine
what lead to their insanity. Some key areas of research that may help you determine why they
are deemed insane are the following:
 The individual’s background and childhood circumstances
 Family history
 Hospitalizations/Medications
 Public actions
 Development of a mental disorder
 Changes in behavior/mental state
