He wanted the Muslims to follow the Islamic teachings in all situations of their lives. This would enable them to restore their pride and improve their living conditions. For this purpose, he translated the Quran in Persian so that the Muslims can understand the Quran and he also wrote fifty-one books both in Arabic and in Persian about islam and clarified many misunderstandings about Islam. He believed that the Muslims divided themselves into sects like Shia and Sunny. He emphasized that the fundamentals of Islam are common among all Muslims so there is no need to fight with each other and they should work together as 1 community. He wanted to eliminate the sectarian differences that were undermining the foundations of Muslim unity. A number of social evils had corrupted the Islamic society. Shah Waliullah wanted to transform the society in the light of Islam and in its teachings. He wanted the rulers to enforce Islamic laws like protects the rights of peasants and workers.
