1. KIDS LISTEN: EDUCATIONAL PODCAST
Kids Listen is an educational and entertainment podcast for kids ranging
Technology Used: Mobile app (available on in all ages. I definitely agree, because I’m no longer a kid (by legal

Kids Listen offer a variety of podcasts on different topics. There are

story podcasts, podcasts about science, history, music, art, podcasts in
different languages, podcasts with interviews of cool people, podcasts
divided by age range, podcasts debating varied topics, and even a
podcast about Harry Potter!
The podcast that I am currently enjoying is aptly titled “Mystery Sound
Extravaganza”. It is a podcast that features guest appearances by kids,
and they have to guess mystery sounds sent in by other kids to the Kids
Listen administrators. It is very enjoyable and educational even for
adults.
Kids Listen has a subscription service. People who subscribe can have
access to all the episodes for each podcast for a monthly fee. Episodes
can also be downloaded to the device for later enjoyment.
The free version has a few (not all) episodes unlocked for listening,
which can still be downloaded to the device.
The app or webpage do not feature live captions for listeners with audio
impairments. The UI design of both the app and the webpage are
diverse-user friendly, with little visual complexity and neutral colors.
The navigation is also straightforward and easy to find what a person is
looking for with a search bar.

The author talks about all the key features of this app from subscription
to the UI design. The podcast is always interesting to listen to and the
author also enjoys it. In my opinion, in our communities, this podcast
culture should be introduced, especially in schools.
Also, this is not a free service so, it is not accessible by all. The author
does not talk about the pros and cons.

multiple people. Vooks features all the elements that make storytime so
special: read-along pacing, valuable life lessons, and a visual connection
between words and text.
New videos are added each week across a wide variety of topics. The
stories are not just about adventures or fantasies, they are also about
social and cultural values and traditions, different people, and their
languages, and even stories about STEAM subjects.
Vooks has a subscription service as well, but they provide a one-year
free service for teachers or instructors affiliated with a private or public
school worldwide!
The visual storybooks have animation, as well as written lines (as
present in an actual book). The narration is clear and crisp, and character
voices are unique but not difficult to understand.
The stories are intended for ages 2 to 8, and the app navigation is
intended for adults (parents or guardians), so kids might initially face
some difficulty in navigating.
The stories can also be downloaded for offline viewing.
Vooks has educational resources for instructors as well. Each visual
story is accompanied by a lesson plan which is downloadable in an
editable PDF format, which has multiple activities related to the story.
The resources are downloadable by anyone (no subscription required).
There are additional resources as well for special occasions & holidays.
This is a service that I have used a lot personally, as a content creator
and curriculum developer myself, and I found it to be reliable, user
friendly, and a hell lot of fun!

The author talks about a great deal of content and knowledge available
on this tool. This tool is very exciting to use, and it is a form of digital
storytelling. Also, this tool is available for all. Since the author has
already used this tool so more evidence is provided.
Both tools are critically analyzed and explained with activities and
responsibilities. Pros and cons were not discussed in depth.
